Version 1.2 · Effective October 1, 2026 · Logan Technology LLC

This notice says exactly what Logan Tech Help, the support app from Logan Technology LLC, collects, why, where it goes and when it is deleted. "I" is Ross Logan of Logan Technology LLC. The service is meant for people in the United States who are 18 or older.

What I collect, and when

You register

Name, email address, the IP address and country of the request

Why: To know who you are, email you, and block abuse

You accept terms (the Terms of Use when you register, the Remote Support Terms in the app)

Which version, when, from which IP address and, in the app, which computer

Why: The record that you agreed. I keep it even after you leave

You link the app

Your computer's operating system and version, its name (hostname), the app version

Why: To show which computer a ticket came from

You choose Send Ross what's wrong and press Send

Your note, the topic you picked, and the items you left switched on for that topic. Depending on the topic these are: AI tool sessions and logs; app logs (for example your code editor, Outlook, Zoom or Teams, only the most recent part); build logs; crash reports; results of checks the app runs (network tests, printer status, your mail server's reachability, git and GitHub setup, installed tool versions); screenshots from the last hour if you switch them on. For developer topics, the git status, last five commit titles and a summary of changed files for your project folders.

Why: So I can see what you saw and help

You choose Let Ross connect

Your computer's name, the time of the request, and a temporary sign-in for this computer (a user name and a password made up for that one session). The sign-in is encrypted on your computer so that only I can read it.

Why: So I can connect to your computer while you watch

I connect to your computer

LogMeIn, the remote access product from GoTo, records when the session started and ended

Why: A record of every session, which I show you on request

The app gathers only what matches the topic you pick, never everything it could find. It does not send: your source files themselves (only what already appears in a session or log), your passwords or keys where it can recognize them, the login files of Claude Code or Codex, SSH keys, .env files, your email messages, browser data, anything your computer's privacy protection keeps private, or anything outside the list above. You see the full list, switch items off, and nothing leaves until you press Send.

How it is protected

The package of logs, and the temporary sign-in for a remote session, are encrypted on your computer before they are uploaded, with keys only I hold, on my own Mac and iPhone. The servers that store them cannot read them. On the iPhone the key stays on that phone, and every use needs Face ID or the phone's passcode; logs I read there are opened in memory and not saved on the phone.

During a remote session I see only your screen, and only after you click Allow. What the remote session does on your computer is described in the Remote Support Terms you accept in the app before your first session.

How long I keep it

Who else handles it

I do not sell or share your information. These providers process it on my behalf so the service can run:

Your data is stored in the United States. Requests from outside the United States pass through the Cloudflare location nearest you on their way there.

Your choices

You can unlink the app, uninstall it, or ask me through logan-technology.com/contact to show you or delete what I hold about you. I will do it within 30 days.

Changes

If this notice changes, the version and date at the top change, and I email registered users about any change to what is collected or who handles it.
