Logan Tech Help

Terms of Use

Version 1.2 · Effective October 4, 2026 · Logan Technology LLC

Logan Tech Help is a small app from Logan Technology LLC, run by Ross Logan in Denver, Colorado. In these terms "I" and "me" mean Logan Technology LLC and Ross Logan. These terms apply when you register on logan-technology.com and use the app ("you"). You agree to them by ticking the box when you register, and again by linking and using the app. I keep a record of which version you agreed to and when.

1. What the service is

When you choose Send Ross what's wrong, you pick what the trouble is about (an AI coding tool, Xcode, email, Wi-Fi, a slow computer and so on). The app gathers the logs and checks that match that topic, removes passwords and keys it can recognize, shows you the list, and sends it to me only after you press Send. I read it and reply by email.

When you choose Let Ross connect, I can connect to your computer while you watch, after you accept the Remote Support Terms in the app. Those terms say exactly what happens on your computer.

It is help from one person, on a best-effort basis. There is no guaranteed response time. "Usually within the hour" describes a habit, not a promise.

2. You must be allowed to share what you send

What you send can contain source code, file names, email addresses, error messages and other material that may belong to your employer, your client or someone else. By sending it you confirm that you have the right to share it with me for the purpose of getting help. If you are not sure, switch that item off on the review screen or ask the owner first.

3. Check the review screen

The app removes common kinds of secrets automatically, but it cannot catch everything. You are responsible for looking at the review screen and switching off anything you do not want to send. Do not use the app to send personal data about other people, health or payment information, or anything you are legally required to keep private.

4. My advice, and what I am not responsible for

I give my honest best advice, but you decide what to run on your computer and in your projects. Back up your work.

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and neither Logan Technology LLC nor Ross Logan personally is liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect, special or consequential damages arising from the app, from a remote session or from advice I give. I am also not responsible for outages or faults in the services I rely on (Cloudflare, Apple, GoTo's LogMeIn and GitHub) or for software you run on my advice. If I am found liable anyway, my total liability is limited to the amount you paid me in the twelve months before the claim, or US $100 if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow some of these limits; where that is the case, they apply as far as the law allows.

If someone else, for example your employer or a client, makes a claim against Logan Technology LLC or Ross Logan because of material you sent me, or because of access you gave me to a computer, you will cover the cost of that claim, including reasonable legal fees.

5. Your account

You must be 18 or older to register. One registration per person. Keep your computer's account secure; anyone who can use your linked computer can send me a ticket in your name. I may decline a registration, or suspend access, at my discretion, for example for abuse or non-payment.

6. The app

I grant you a personal, non-transferable right to install and use the app on computers you own or control. Please do not reverse engineer it, resell it or use it to send me anything harmful. You can stop at any time: unlink it in Settings and uninstall it. It starts when you sign in; you can turn that off in Settings.

7. Paid services

Paid services, including remote support, are covered by a separate agreement and the Remote Support Terms. These terms do not make you a paying customer.

8. Changes

If I change these terms, the version and date at the top change, and I email registered users about any change that affects them. Using the app after that means you accept the new version.

9. The rest

These terms, the Privacy Notice and, if you use remote support, the Remote Support Terms are the whole agreement between us about the app. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If I do not enforce something right away, I can still enforce it later.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Denver County, Colorado.
